Why We Started Walking Tours

We founded ovendale Limited because we saw a real gap in how people experience Connemara's natural beauty. Too many walking tours pushed pace over pleasure. The villages of Roundstone and Clifden deserve to be explored slowly, thoughtfully, with time to breathe and absorb the landscape.

Most pensioners we've worked with told us the same thing: they didn't want rushed hikes or complicated navigation. They wanted clear paths, manageable distances, and a genuine connection to the places they were visiting. That's exactly what we've built.

Since we started, we've guided hundreds of walkers through the Roundstone Harbour Loop and the legendary Clifden Sky Road. We've learned what works. We know which paths have the best views, where the footing is safest, and how to pace a walk so you finish feeling energized, not exhausted.
